Disaster Program Payroll Specialist

Position available in St. Thomas only.

DEFINITION

Under general supervision from the Deputy Director of Administration & Finance, collects and compiles time & attendance data for disaster grant program staff and verifies wage & salary earnings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE)

  • Collects and files disaster grant program staff bi-weekly activities and time & attendance reports.
  • Prints payroll reports and analyzes data to verify employee earnings are accurate.
  • Tracks the earned and used compensatory time of disaster grant program staff.
  • Reports any payroll discrepancies to the Deputy Director of Administration & Finance.
  • Prepare payroll adjustment vouchers as required.
  • Tracks wages & earnings by employee and department.
  • Prepare payroll budget forms and budget revisions as required.
  • Prepare payroll draw requests in a timely manner in accordance with the Cash Management Improvement Act and Federal grant awards.
  • Ensures all payroll related data is filed and retained in accordance with Federal law.
  • Perform any other duties assigned to support the division.
