U.S. Virgin Islands – Governor Kenneth E. Mapp has announced the appointment of Denise Lewis as Acting
Director of the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA), and Joyce Dore-Griffin
as Acting Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, effective today, December 27, 2018 at 5
p.m.
The Governor also appointed Jason Marsh as Acting Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Police Department,
effective Friday, December 28, 2018 at 5 p.m.
Lewis replaces the former VITEMA Director; Dore-Griffin replaces former Commissioner Beverly Nicholson-
Doty; and Marsh replaces former Commissioner Delroy Richards.
The former Director and Commissioners each resigned from their positions this month.
Further personnel appointments will be made in the days ahead.
