Both governors committed to establishing a working partnership between the governments of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and to partner in the creation of maritime transport and other economic development opportunities between the Islands.

“It was great to meet with Governor Rosselló this morning. We had a good conversation on what we hope is the beginning of an effort to connect our economies more closely and a partnership to bring decades-long issues to resolution. We need to look to Puerto Rico more as a partner and not a competitor,” Governor Bryan said.
