September has been an active month during this 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Being prepared will have a great impact on how the U.S. Virgin Islands copes with the possibility of more activity in our region. Working together can make our community stronger.
Including children and elderly family members in the disaster planning process now can reduce anxiety later. Review your family emergency plan together so that they know what to do even if you are not there. Storing enough water, collecting a few extra cans of non-perishable meal items, and making household repairs one step at a time can help reduce damages and the burden that hurricanes can bring.
