[U.S. Virgin Islands] – The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) is advising the public that the curfew pass application deadline has been extended to July 15, 2024. Applications that have already been submitted are still being reviewed and applicants will receive a response as soon as possible.
The community is reminded that curfew passes are intended to allow for those businesses and persons who are conducting activities in support of public safety, emergency response, and restoration-related services. All other businesses should have emergency contingency plans and be able to assess and conduct usual business during daylight/non-curfew hours.
The principal mission statement of VITEMA as a first response coordinator is to save lives and property of the territory’s population. This is accomplished by preparing territorial organizations to respond to, recover from and mitigate against all-hazards through: Planning, Coordinating, Training and Exercise Activities.
