September 25, 2024 – The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) is pleased to announce two significant appointments to its leadership team, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in public service and internal operations.

New Deputy Director of Human Resources & Labor Relations

Nadia Fearon has been appointed as the new Deputy Director of Human Resources & Labor Relations. With her experience in human resource management and labor relations, coupled with her knowledge of internal operations, Ms. Fearon is well-suited for this position. Her understanding of VITEMA’s inner workings will be valuable in shaping workforce policies and fostering positive relationships with our labor partners.

Nadia was the St. Croix District Manager of the 911 Call Center for 5 consecutive years. We are elated to welcome Ms. Fearon back to VITEMA. Her extensive experience in crisis management and her proven leadership skills make her an invaluable asset to our team. Ms. Fearon's ability to perform under pressure and her dedication to public service align perfectly with VITEMA's strategic mission and values.

Internal Promotion: Public Information Officer

We are also proud to announce the internal promotion of J'Lisa Martinez to the position of Public Information Officer. Ms. Martinez has demonstrated exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of our agency's mission during her tenure.

Ms. Martinez previously held our Media & Content Writer position from late last year and has amplified the visual aspects of the agency.
