Beginning March 26, VITEMA and territorial partners will be operating a special Hotline from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days per week to answer non-medical questions you may have on the COVID-19 (coronavirus) impact to the Territory.

Effective March 24, all in-person business operations, to include community access to VITEMA facilities territory wide, acceptance and processing of Curfew Pass Applications, and in-office appointments are suspended until after April 6, 2020.

Ms. Barbara Petersen will serve as the Agency’s Assistant Director and Mr. Steve De Blasio will serve as the Deputy Director of Logistics.

Caribe Wave Tsunami Drill and Operation Extra Credit: Active Shooter Exercise for high schools cancelled, both were scheduled for March 19.

The territory’s first case is a resident with some recent international travel history to one of the five locations with widespread transmission of the disease.

The ship’s request to berth was denied by the Coast Guard in the interest of public health safety for the residents of the USVI.

Two-day active shooter drill for select schools in the territory beginning on March 19 at 1 p.m.

Caribe Wave 2020 tsunami preparedness and response drill is scheduled for March 19 at 9 a.m.

Over 460 residents participated in the town hall meetings across the territory.

VITEMA began hosting town hall meetings on St. Croix at the end of January which were continued in St. Thomas and Water Island last week.
